Daily Eats – Day 13

Yup, I missed yesterday. Not on purpose, I took photos of everything, but then I went to bed and totally spaced it. Oh well. Today I got to work from home. Starting in February I get to take all Fridays off to work on Tied Bow stuff! This is pretty much amazing. So in an effort to be as productive as I would on a regular work day, I dragged my butt out of bed at 8:30, took a shower, got dressed and put on my face.

Freakishly flattering photo. Don't be fooled.

Had Non Fat Greek Yogurt, Frozen Berries, and Low Fat Granola for Breakfast. Plus a 16 oz Non Fat Vanilla Latte (no photo).

I worked until 1:30 and then met Mr. Gaunt at the gym.

Supposedly crossing your legs makes you look thinner in photos. I'm not convinced.

After the gym I worked more, until 5:30pm when my mom came over and we went to Costco and Old Navy. I was on the hunt for the perfect Black, Non-Shiny, Capri Length, Flared workout pants. None could be found. Old Navy is currently having a sale on workout gear, but its all skin tight spandex nastyness. They did have some nice clearance shirts that I bought.

Home Made Banana Chips.

Turkey and mustard.

My go-to winter outfit.

Then for dinner we had Goji Asian Fusian.

Followed by a glass of Pear Cider and in bed by 1 am…lol. Let the weekend begin.

Oh and a reminder to myself and anyone else being forced to watch football this weekend. DONT EAT CHIPS. DONT EAT DIP. DONT EAT HOT WINGS. DONT EAT CARBS. DONT EAT SWEETS. DONT GRAZE. DONT FORGET TO FOCUS ON THE PRIZE.

Weigh in on Sunday! Who feels good about this week?

Daily Eats – Day 2

16 oz Non fat vanilla latte

Non fat Greek yogurt. Low fat Granola

Grapefruit

Veggie Patti

Home made Apple Chips (no sugar)

2 slices of turkey with mustard

Egg Drop Soup. Veggie and Chicken take out.

Cookie…damn.

Mr. Gaunt and I went to the gym at our new time (4:00) because I’m back at work. The gym was extra crowded which sucked, but we still managed to get our workout in. Mr. Gaunt wasn’t feeling well so we decided to get soup, and the chicken and veggies were the healthiest thing on the menu. I’m sure they had a ton of sodium, but no sauce really, so they couldn’t be awful..well..hopefully. I also ate a fortune cookie before remembering my no sugar rule, but a fortune cookie is more like a cracker…right? lol.

In work news, the day was AWFUL! So boring, maybe the worst day I have had yet. If nothing else it keeps me seriously motivated to work hard at my new business. Sigh. It’s a stormy night, laying low.

From the Fourth

For the 4th of July we did a friends and family BBQ at the Mead Bar my moms runs. My mom made Ribs, Salmon, and BBQ Chicken and everyone else brought sides and I brought dessert…duh.

The previous tenants in or house had planted strawberries, and I was smart enough to leaved them mixed in with all the weeds this spring when I was clearing out some of the yucky beds. They have no produced TONS of strawberries. In an attempt to use what we grow I made a Strawberries, Angel Food Cake, and Whip Cream Trifle. This is the easiest yummiest dessert known to man. Of course you HAVE to use home made whip cream. I only add the tiniest bit of sugar to my home made whip cream, as I like it more natural.

My sister and I also made Patriotic Cake Pops (here you can see that they outer decorative icing is melting…ooops) they were definitely a challenge, but I want to perfect them for the wedding. I’ll do a later post on these.

Uhh…do you see that AWESOME fire pit? Yeah THAT is Mr. Gaunt and my early wedding gift from my mom! Isnt it cool! They used it for the fourth, but now it lives on our patio! If I only I had an evening off to enjoy it. Marshmallow roasting! We are too lucky!

Shockingly no one bought any fireworks (my brother usually buys a ton) but luckily my moms neighbor gave us a few boxes of cheapy sparklers. We were also really pleased to be able to see the big Bellingham Fireworks Show over the water from the bars patio!

gracious Mildly Drunk Bathroom Pic

So it was a really good fourth. It’s awesome that my family is so on board with all hanging out on Holidays! Oh and in case you didn’t know the girl with the short Platinum hair is my sister Taylor and the blonde boy is my brother Forrest.  Oh and of course the adorable woman with the nose ring in the picture with me is my mom!

Hope everyone else had a great 4th!

Shriners are Amazing

In case you are not from Bellingham, Ski to Sea Weekend is kind of a big deal. Mr. Gaunt and I went with my mom to watch my sister march with her Hair School Toni & Guy in the Grande Parade this morning. I’m a big fan of parades as I LUUUUVVV Marching Bands, Cheerleaders, Pageant Queens, and Shriners!

Anyway we also went to the mall (GAG I HATE the mall sooo much. Especially our mall as its especially gross and awful) to get cat liter and buy J’s shirt for the wedding (all we need now are pants!). Then my back started hurting a bunch, so we came home and planted (post later on this) some wedding plants! And I made a bunch of Pom Poms…duh.

Food wise I feel blah and slightly annoyed. I had a small salmon sandwich today and half a small salad. I also had some Mustard Pretzels and a coffee. I feel so annoyed that the weight isn’t just FALLING of me…lol. Whatever. I’m refusing to step on the scale until Monday. Must get through this month and HOPEFULLY hit my 15 pounds lost (1.5 pounds left) by the first. Then of course I have another 15 pounds to break this damn year-long plateau!

Ok rant over. Moral of this post is that

1. Parades are Awesome

2. Weight Loss not so awesome

3. Malls completely awful.

1400 Calories in Fajitas?

Lets do a breakdown of what I ate today:

-3/4 Cup non-fat Greek Yogurt

-2 Strawberries

-1 Teaspoon Honey

-1/4 Cup Low Fat vanilla Granola

-1 Apple

-1 Fig Newton

-1/2 a Plate of Mi Mexico’s Chicken Fajitas…1400 CALORIES! GAH!

Well the whole plate is supposedly 1400 Calories (when I googled Chicken Fajita Calories). I didn’t have any tortillas, Sour Cream, Cheese, and only a little of the rice/beans/Guac. I would still say it was probably around 500 Calories, with the few chips I had.

My friend Hilary says it’s important to surprise your body with a few extra calories every once in a while to help you lose weight. Let hope this works.

I also didn’t do 5k today. I only walked 2 miles, as I ended up walking to Mr. Gaunt’s work after I babysat, and its only 2 miles from our house. Needless to say let hope the scale gods are on my side in the morning.
